Research
My research spans a number of areas in a product lifecycle, including research into early stage design process, design ideation tools, sustainable design and manufacturing networks.
My ongoing research are in:
- Artifical Intelligence in Design Process
- Remote Design Collaboration : Tools and Methods
- Sustainable and Regenerative Manufacturing
- Learning Technologies for K12 STEM education
- AR/VR/MR Serious Games for Learning
Remote Design Collaboration
This research aims to improve our understanding of remote design teams. The research spans developing tools, taxonomies, and design management methods to support remote collaborative design processes.
Human-AI Collaboration
Further investigates the new-age design processes in industry and effective human-AI collaboration practices .
Intelligent Design Systems
Research and development of intelligent design systems to support early stage ideation that augments human abilities.
Regenerative Design and Manufacturing
Theoretical frameworks to enable regenerative design in manufacturing. This research is in collaboration with Prof. Steve Evans at the Centre for Industrial Sustainability, Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge.
Design for Accessible Manufacturing
Development of new approaches for designing for accessible manufacturing for equitable access to essential products..
Learning Technologies for STEM Education
This research investigates the learning curves in K12 students while using AR/VR environments to learn STEM topics
